Dear Boothbay Garden Club Scholarship Funding,

Hi my name is Della Hahn! I am writing to thank you for your generous scholarship. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship four years ago.

Since starting Sewanee I became a sister of Kappa Delta and got elected to be the house manager my senior year.
I am a member of the Order of the Gown and Sewanee’s Earth Science National Honor Society.
I also got to study environmental studies and art history in Florence Italy for the 2025 Spring semester.
I am a Natural Resources major with a business minor on the environment and sustainability track. I plan to work in the renewable energy sector upon graduating from Sewanee: The University of the South.

I finished up my last semester of undergraduate courses and I’m graduating in May of 2026. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to being able to achieve my goals. By awarding me your scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden, which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school: learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to my community.

I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me!

Sincerely, Della Hahn
